Social Development reiterates commitment to strengthening SASSA grants

Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her guidance and dedication to bettering South African Social Security Company (SASSA) expert services in the course of an engagement together with the agency's senior supervisors in a strategic planning session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled during the 2024 matric exams.

From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for your National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% from the registered pupils within the education and learning sector.

These learners reached a commendable pass rate of 86%.
